Evia is an island situated to the North from Athens so close to the continent that it is connected with it by the 14-meter’s bridge. The strait across which the bridge is thrown is a remarkable place of note – the water in this strait changes its current several times per hour.
The island is covered with mountains and forests; it has many difficult of access places and impassable roads. The Evia resort is a small part of the whole island – it is actually the Eretria region 15 km from the Halkida Island capital. Eretria is situated 95 km from Athens. To get here from the continent you can through the above-mentioned bridge or by a ferry-boat.
